Why migrate?

Sometimes the website itself is not the problem. The platform underneath it is.

Migrating lets you keep the parts that already work while replacing the technical foundation with something faster, cleaner and easier to maintain.

  • Built for speed

A modern custom stack removes much of the overhead that builds up around legacy platforms, page builders and plugin-heavy setups.

  • Less platform overhead

Fewer unnecessary layers, fewer dependencies and less software to maintain just to keep the website running.

  • More ownership

Your website lives in a portable codebase you can keep, move and host wherever you want.

  • Easier to maintain

A cleaner component system, structured content and modern deployment make future changes easier for both people and AI agents to understand and work with.

Keep the website. Change the foundation.

We preserve the parts of your website that already work and rebuild the system underneath them into something faster, cleaner and easier to maintain.

What stays

  • Your brand and visual direction
  • Your content
  • Your core page structure
  • Your URLs wherever possible
  • Your existing SEO value
  • The integrations you still need

What changes

  • The platform underneath the website
  • The codebase and component system
  • The performance foundation
  • The way content and functionality are structured
  • The deployment and hosting setup
  • How easily people and AI agents can work with the website going forward

The result still feels like your website, but runs on a much better foundation.

A modern stack built around your website.

We rebuild your website on a modern, open foundation chosen around what the site actually needs.

For most content-driven websites, that means Astro. When the project calls for more dynamic behavior, we can use Next.js instead.

Content can stay lightweight with MDX, or move into a structured CMS such as Sanity when your team needs a more powerful publishing workflow. Visual editing can be added where it makes sense in either setup.

The result is a website that is fast, portable and easier to maintain, without adding technology just for the sake of it.

  • Modern frontend

Astro or Next.js, selected based on the requirements of the site.

  • The right content setup

Lightweight content management when that is enough. A structured CMS when your team actually needs one.

  • Clean, reusable system

Components, design tokens and content structures are organized so future changes do not turn into another layer of technical debt.

  • Open and portable

Your website lives in a standard codebase and Git repository, not inside a proprietary website builder.

Keep editing without depending on a developer.

Moving to a custom stack does not mean giving up easy content management.

If your team regularly publishes or updates content, we set up an editing workflow that fits the way you work. That might be a lightweight visual editor for a simpler site or a structured CMS such as Sanity for more demanding publishing workflows.

  • Visual editing when you need it

Update copy, images and structured content through a familiar editing interface.

  • A CMS that matches the website

Content models are built around your actual pages and publishing needs, rather than forcing the site into a generic page builder.

  • No unnecessary complexity

If a simpler content setup is enough, we keep it simple.

Your team keeps control of day-to-day content. The custom codebase stays clean underneath.

Ready for the way websites are changing.

Migration is also a chance to turn an older website into a system that modern coding agents can actually understand and work with.

We structure the codebase for that from the start, then show your team how to use it.

01

Built so an AI can read it.

As we rebuild the website, we turn its existing design language into clear tokens, named components and reusable patterns.

We also add the project context agents need to understand what the brand is, how the system works, what to reuse and what should not be changed without a reason.

That turns the migrated codebase into something an AI agent can work inside with far less guesswork.

02

You edit it in plain English.

Once the new site is ready, we show your team how to work with it using modern coding agents.

Change a headline, add a case study, create a landing page or extend an existing section by describing what you want in plain English.

The agent works inside the component and design system we already built, instead of inventing a new solution every time.

You can keep using the CMS for everyday content and use an agent when you want to go further.

How migration works.

A migration should feel straightforward from your side, even when there is a lot happening underneath.

  1. We audit the current website, map its pages, content, integrations and technical setup, then confirm the migration scope and target architecture.

  2. We recreate the website on the new stack while turning the existing design into a cleaner component and design system.

  3. Pages, CMS content, media, forms, analytics and the integrations you still need are moved into the new setup.

  4. We carry over URLs, metadata, redirects and other important SEO signals, while improving performance and fixing technical issues where it makes sense.

  5. We test the migrated website across devices, verify content and redirects, switch it live, and hand over the codebase, editing setup and documentation.

Migration pricing.

Fixed pricing based on the scope of your website.

Every standard migration follows the same level of care. The difference between packages is primarily how much website there is to move.

  • Small

    Up to 10 website pages.

For smaller marketing websites and simple company sites.

    $700

  • Standard

    Up to 100 website pages.

For most established company and B2B websites with multiple sections, landing pages and structured content.

    $1,250

  • Large

    Up to 500 website pages.

For larger content-heavy websites with more pages, templates and publishing needs.

    $2,450

  • Custom

For websites above 500 pages or projects with unusual technical complexity, advanced functionality or architecture that needs a closer look.

    Let's review it

Structured CMS content is handled separately from page count. Up to 5,000 normal CMS entries can be included in a standard migration when they use reusable content models.

A 1,000-URL website does not necessarily mean 1,000 pages to rebuild. Reusable content such as articles, case studies or team profiles is migrated as structured content rather than recreated one by one.

Managed hosting, without the platform lock-in.

You can host the migrated website with us, or take the codebase and run it wherever you want.

If you choose Genten Managed Hosting, we take care of the infrastructure behind the site, including deployments, SSL, monitoring and hosting configuration.

Host it with Genten
  • Managed Hosting

    $20/month

For most marketing and content-driven websites.

  • Advanced Managed Hosting

    $40/month

For more demanding websites with heavier runtime usage, more server-side functionality or additional infrastructure needs.

  • Custom

For websites with unusual infrastructure, traffic or operational requirements.

Or run it anywhere

Your code is still yours.

The website lives in a portable Git-based codebase. If you ever want to move it elsewhere, you can.

Billed 6 or 12 months in advance.

WE HAVE DONE THIS

Three platforms, replaced by one stack.

Sezonski Rad is a two-sided hiring marketplace we moved off Webflow, Wized and Xano onto Next.js and Supabase. It's live, so you can check the result yourself rather than take our word for it.

Three platforms became one stack

None of the three were built for this kind of product, so every feature meant working around the tools. Now it's Next.js and Supabase, and there is one place to change anything.

10x faster to ship features

The difference isn't typing speed, it's that features get built the way they are supposed to work instead of being bent around what the platform allowed.

Under 0.5s server response

Measured on the live site. Fast isn't a nice-to-have on a job board that people open on their phones on a building site.

No workarounds left in the product

Every feature that used to need a hack now works natively. That's the part that compounds, because the next feature starts from something solid.

FAQ

Straight answers.

Will my website look the same after migration?

Yes. We preserve your existing brand, visual direction, content and core page structure while rebuilding the technical foundation underneath them.

We may clean up inconsistencies and formalize the design system during the process, but the goal is for the migrated website to still feel like the same website.

Will migrating affect our SEO or rankings?

A migration should preserve the SEO value your website has already built.

We carry over important signals such as URLs, metadata, canonical tags, structured data, internal links and redirects, then check the new site before launch.

If we find technical SEO issues in the current setup, we can also clean those up during migration. We cannot guarantee search rankings, but protecting the existing SEO foundation is part of the migration process.

What happens to our existing content and CMS?

Your existing content is migrated into the new setup rather than recreated manually.

If your team needs a CMS, we will recommend an editing setup based on how you actually manage content. That may be a lightweight visual editor for a simpler site or a structured CMS such as Sanity for more demanding publishing workflows.

The goal is to keep content management easy without carrying unnecessary platform complexity into the new site.

Can you migrate a website with hundreds or thousands of articles or other CMS entries?

Yes.

Reusable content such as articles, case studies, products, team profiles or locations is treated as structured content rather than hundreds of individually built pages.

Standard migrations can include up to 5,000 normal CMS entries when they follow reusable content models. Larger or unusually complex content libraries may need a custom review.

What happens to our current forms, analytics and integrations?

We identify the integrations the website still needs and move or recreate them as part of the new setup.

That can include forms, analytics, tag management, CRM connections, newsletter tools, search and other standard website integrations.

If something depends on unusual backend logic or a system we cannot inspect publicly, we confirm how it works before finalizing the migration scope.

How do I know whether my website needs Migration or a full Build?

Migration is usually the right fit when you are happy with the website itself but want a better technical foundation.

If you want to rethink the positioning, structure, user experience or visual direction of the website, a Build is likely the better fit.

If you are unsure, the scanner and an initial review will usually make the distinction clear.

What if the scanner says my website needs a custom review?

It simply means the scanner found something that should be understood before we give you a fixed price.

That could be authentication, ecommerce, unusual functionality, a very large content library or another part of the website that cannot be reliably assessed from the public site alone.

We review those areas with you and then confirm the scope and price.

Do we have to host the website with Genten after migration?

No.

You can use Genten Managed Hosting or host the website elsewhere.

If you host with us, we take care of the infrastructure, deployments, monitoring and technical setup. If you prefer to manage hosting yourself, the codebase is portable and can be deployed elsewhere.

Who owns the code after the migration?

You do.

The migrated website lives in a standard Git-based codebase that you can access, keep and move to another hosting provider if you ever want to.

Using Genten Managed Hosting does not lock the website into a proprietary platform.

Can our team still edit and manage the website after migration?

Yes.

Every project gets an editing setup that matches the needs of the website and the people managing it.

Your team can handle everyday content through a visual editor or CMS where needed. The codebase is also structured so modern coding agents can help with larger changes such as creating pages, extending sections or evolving the site over time.

Ready to move your website?

Whether you have questions about your scan, want to confirm the scope or are ready to get started, we can talk through the next step together.
